[3.3.x] Support Forum • Re: htaccess file and incorrect php information

Hi everyone - thank you!

I do have it set to PHP 8.2 in multiphp, and use the current phpBB 3.3.11. When I use the default .htaccess file that comes with the installation package, I get the 500 error (it's a blank white screen on my desktop - I checked it on my phone, and it is indeed a 500 error, screenshot attached). When I use an old .htaccess file my forum works temporarily, but the server updates the file each morning and I'm back to the errors. My ACP also says PHP 7.3, which isn't what I'm using (I'm assuming that is based off the .htaccess file??).

For updating, I did the full package recommended update (I do those myself). To add, I just updated recently, and was also having this issue when using 3.3.9. I was hoping the upgrade would solve the issue, but it didn't.

I did a Hostgator live chat a few hours ago, and they DID do a server upgrade around the same time I started experiencing these issues (they did the PHP 8.2 update), so there's definitely a correlation there. They escalated a help ticket for me...not sure if that will bear fruit. I'll ask about those server logs
