Thanks so much for this! I had given up because as you noted my PHP versions were the same and I hadn't checked back here for a while. You diagnosed the issue perfectly with the "sodium" module for PHP. Works like a charm now.And not just "PHP versions" (which already were the same or higher version in the described tests), but specifically the enabled modules/extensions for the PHP installation you're moving the database to. Most typically, lack of having the "sodium" module for PHP available or enabled would prevent the hash support necessary to match passwords against saved hashes which had been produced on a server that did have the "sodium" module enabled.
